Reebok 8k Skates

because of all these new reebok topics with arrival of new reebok stuff i was wondering if anyone has, or atleast tried the 8k skates? if someone has ill ask my questions

The pair I looked at were light, but not as light as Vapor XXX's. As for the stiffness, they were very stiff.

Shouldn't reebok be looking to aquire a different fit than what CCM does already to possibly get a bigger market share in skates?

I don't think CCM will go anywhere, it's sorta like people who thought Nike was just going to 'swoosh' everything and eliminate anything traditional.

I seriously doubt they drop the CCM line at all. The way things look right now with the new gear is taking the Vector line to Reebok exclusively, and putting RBK where things used to say Jofa. Nike kept Bauer around for the same reason Reebok will more than likely keep CCM around, long term brand recognition. If you find someone who grew up playing, and they haven't played in several yrs, guess which brands they look for? CCM and Bauer. Those two names are the longest lasting, most well known names. Nike could have axed the Bauer line along with Daoust and Mega, but knew the market share Bauer would retain for them, it's no different here.

Guys,

No plans to go anywhere with the CCM Tacks line. Similar to the current lines, our future will include CCM Tacks, CCM Vector and RBK skates.

Just a quick note on the fit of the RBK skates vs Tacks, the RBK skates are a bit wider in the midfoot.

They feel pretty light and you're only talking about a handful of grams in any case.

The externos were really narrow in the toe box, the Vectors are much wider there. If the only difference is the midfoot from RBK to CCM Vector, than they're a bit wider throughout than the externos
