Thanks a lot for the link. OldNSlow told me he bought one and it is around a lie 5.5. I had one of these pro stock V-130s before and it was the best (slap) shooting stick I have ever played with until the blade broke. We'll see if this toe curve works for me as I'm a Coffey man.

Bought this stick off of OldNSlow. Toe curve, skinny (at heel) blade, lie is around 7. I'll give it a test tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure the lie simply won't work for me. Way too high.

On a related note, anyone know what the Shaeffer pattern is? It's not listed in the pattern db. It's one of the V-130 pro stock patterns HM still has in stock.

EDIT: Uh, answered my own question: it must be Peter Schaefer and this nasty toe wedge: http://patterndb.org...?g2_itemId=3507

Jeez, I would KILL to try that out in a right.
I love the people I surround myself with and hockey, not necessarily in that order.

Philbricks Hockey has some V10.0 Straka Pro-stock sticks. I would give them a ring cause i know it isnt posted on their site but they definitely have a good amount in store

the V130 pro stock sticks that Hockey Monkey are selling are fused wood blades ?

Only the patterns that are marked "fused." e.g. Nieminen

Anyone know what is the pattern for that blade +Lie ?

And is a ''fused'' wooden blade a good thing or bad? FYI I'm a D

Why would your position make any difference at all?

Fused wood blade means that instead of glue, they epoxy the blade into the shaft. Chances are you will not be able to pull it out and you are stuck with shaft that has to be cut as soon as the wood blade dies. I wouldn't pay much more than the cost of a wood blade for an OPS with a fused wood blade.

is there any benefit for them to use epoxy than glue for a wood blade? Seems like such a waste (but i guess pros go through sticks like nothing).
