It doesn't say anywhere in the article that he was fired, just that his new position with the Stars would be problem if he remained an analyst. The "pro fighting" comment was the columnist's opinion, not based on fact or quotes from anyone.

I've never seen him work a game in the booth. But as a studio analyst he was very entertaining, and insightful...IMO.

I liked that Hull would get fired up though, it was kind of refreshing to see when he'd seriously argue in between periods.

I also think Mike Milbury could be very good in the booth (as opposed to me feelings that he would be very good in an electric chair when he was the Isles GM)

The clown fest with him and Don Cherry was probably the last straw. The image of the game needs to be cleaned up if it is going to grow.
