stick recommendation Warrior dt3 vs reebok 25k

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about upgrading from my 24k stick and have pretty much narrowed it down to these two sticks and was looking from some user feedback recommendations on which way to go, basically what are the pros and cons of each stick. Also, I'm coming from a p87a blade and am thinking of trying another pattern, most likely a p88 or pm 9 clone, I know on my current stick the toe sticks up a bit so I was thinking of a lower lie, I've seen that warrior lists the burrows and zetterberg both as 5 lie, but that warrior lies measure weird, should I just go by the bauer equivalent or are the lies different on the warrior sticks? Any and all help is appreciated

It's all going to come down to personal preference. Both are good sticks. I think Warriors products are the best bang for your buck (especially for the midrange sticks), so the DT3 would be my suggestion.

The Warrior equivalents will have the same lie (W88 vs P88 will be the same lie, etc)

That being said, Warrior definitely has the best bang for your buck

Especially at the $100 range, you can find much better than the 24K

I always recommend looking for sticks on clearance. Might as well save some money and get a better stick if you are ok with last year's design

Follow up concerning the Warrior stick, how much of a buffer is there when cutting the stick before it starts really increasing flex? I'd probably have to cut 5-6" off of the senior size or 2-3" off the int. I'm trying to get into the 75 flex range (I've found 65 too soft but 85 too stiff).

i like my 25k, that said, it does play a little stiff for its rating, at least to me, so be aware of that if you go this route. I use it for defense mainly now, so it doesnt bother me entirely much.

The DT3LT, to me, was very impressive in how it feels at its price point, balance and weight wise. I dont have on ice experience to comment further than that, but it comes highly regarded by others as you are reading.

As an original dt1 owner I was really impressed with the dt3lt , balance, weight, feel were all there. I think the warrior rep said it's the same specs as the dt1lt but it just doesn't use the US aerospace grade of carbon fiber. I was going to pick up one to switch off with the dt1 but I decided to save the pennies and look at the new qr1.

I have not used or picked up a Reebok 25k, but I love my Warrior DT3LT. It is by far the lightest stick I have ever used & the balance is way better than the 2-piece One95 & Easton ST I had been using. Not sure that helps, but the DT3LT is a great stick for the cost. I believe Souldriver is correct on it being the same specs with a non-US aerospace grade of carbon fiber.

I've been using the 25k for awhile now and absolutely love it. I haven't used the dt3 so I can't commit on how it compares to it. However I can say that for me the 25k has been the best stick I've used in the past few years.

Great puck feel, great pop and lightweight.

Hey thanks for all the advice, I decided to go with the DT3LT, partly because I couldn't seem to find the 25K with the p42 Duchene curve, but mostly because amazon was selling the burrows 75 flex for $78. I'm really liking it so far, feels nice and light, shoots great, and I think the difference in lie has made giving and receiving easier. I actually like it so much I bought a second. One last question is which warranty sticker do I peel of to stick to the receipt, the white one or the hologram one? (side note though the prices vary wildly among different patterns and flexes, amazon has insanely good prices on Covert sticks, I almost grabbed the DT1LT Burrows because it was only $130, so anyone else interested in Warrior sticks check it out)
