Pro Equipment Sales

Here is what I figured out as far as the Ontario Reign sale, for you SoCal guys.

The equipment manager, like mentioned before, is super nice. Just got off the phone with him. He said he can save some stuff if you can pick it up on the weekdays.

He has used gloves, most of which have good palms, he says.

Used pants

Used helmets, 8Ks probably. No Larges though. Mostly Mediums

He also said he has 2 different sticks that are available. 20-ish quantity. Both Right handed. One is a 10K with Sakic-ish pattern, the other is a U+ with a "mean toe hook".

Any word on the prices?

And get there early because it was crazy there last year. Might have been with all the Tavares hype because double+ showed up as opposed to other years.

Anything left over is usually sold at a tent sale @ Iceworks. I am told they are planning the same for this year but will not know until after the draft party.

will they have skates there ? jw if so how much would you think they would run ?

Is there a list of who uses what stick? I plan on going to the Sharks sale and want to be sure I'm buying the stick I think I am and not a repaint.

its the risk we all take, my friend. as long as you don't come across a spezza stick, i think you'll be ok regardless.

if you want to have your cake and eat it too, shop retail.

In past years how has the crowd been at the Islanders sale?? Also how are their prices?? Not gonna make the trip if things are outragious but if the price is right I definitely will.

I doubt the price will be very far off of the SoundTigers Sale. Did you notine also that most of the stuff in Bridgeport equiptment wise was islanders stuff? It turns out I got Mauldin's gloves and Dylan Reese' bucket

Yea how much did skates and gloves run at the sound tiger sales? I really want some skates out of this, do you think any pros will wear a 7.5???

I believe that they ran for 100 bucks at the Sound Tigers sale. I dunno if I will go to the Islanders or Devils sale but I'm between both literally! How has the Islanders sale been in the past as stated before? Do they have a lot of new equipment or is it mostly used stuff? And so STH get in first or everyone at once?

Thanks for digging up the info, Brian! I was hoping to snag some shoulder pads, but oh well. Have to wait for another sale.

You've got to dig on their site, but it looks like the Heat sale will be at the AESC on May 29th. No times posted yet.

It was pretty crowded as they had the first pick in the draft. Hopefully they will have more stuff this year and less people.

Aren't they changing jerseys next year?

For anyone interested, the Islanders sale will have A LOT more than last year. They are getting rid of all the navy equipment as well as some (a very tiny amount) of the royal stuff due to the jersey change.

skates were 100, gloves 60, helmets 75, sticks 80, and protective pads like shoulders shins and elbows were reasonable, i heard. I didnt even look at the protective stuff

great! I'm looking to pick up some skates but idk what islander wears a 7.5 skate haha. And some mitts, and of course have to have a stick, I wonder why helmets are so much compared to sticks???

Doesn't help you for the Sound Tigers sale, but Ales Hemsky wears a 7.5D.
